Windows Fingerprint and PIN login stopped working after updates

  1.  Locate Windows Biometric Service, right-click it, and select Stop.
  2. Open File Explorer and navigate to C:\Windows\System32\WinBioDatabase.delete the .dat files.
  3. Return to the Services window, right-click Windows Biometric Service, and select Start.
  4. Go back to Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options to re-register your PIN & fingerprint.
